Why us

Why asks. Dot defines.

The founders

Conceived in 2015.
Founded in November 2019.

In 2015, our journey away from the homeland began. Everywhere we’ve been since, we’ve been new. Navigating different languages, systems, politics, and cultures taught us to rely on curiosity and inquiry: to observe first, ask questions, and get comfortable not knowing the answer right away.

Those principles eventually became the foundation of our work.

We’re Tatiana and Georgina Fakoukaki: twin sisters, UC Berkeley alumni, and design thinking practitioners for nearly a decade.

In 2019, we started bringing questions, tools, and methods into teams. Since then, our work has taken us from corporate teams across the San Francisco Bay Area to innovation incubators in Greece, early-stage startups, and public education in Puerto Rico.

Different settings, but often the same work: understanding what’s really happening, making sense of different perspectives, testing ideas, and finding a way forward.

We bring the games, tools, and methods. The people in the room bring the knowledge. Our job is to help put the two together, so the team can move forward, aligned.
